32nd edition of An Evening of Stars Honors Chaka Khan
Confirmed participants joining UNCF President and CEO Dr. Michael L. Lomax will be Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, El DeBarge, Estelle, Faith Evans, Fantasia, Melanie Fiona, Ginuwine, Milini Khan, Ledisi, Bettye Lavette, Herbie Hancock, Angie Stone, Mark Stevens, Soledad O’Brien, Akon, LeVar Burton, Mo’Nique, Taraji P. Henson, Quincy Jones, Tom Joyner, Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Ari Parker, Amber Riley, Tracie Thoms, Bobb’e J. Thompson, Shaun Robinson and Lauren Velez. Also in attendance will be Malik Yoba, Warren Ballentine, Tatiana Ali and Kim Coles.
Proceeds help to continue UNCF’s mission of aiding those who need and deserve an education.
The resulting two-hour special will air January 28 and 29, 2011 on selected network stations throughout the U.S., and on BET and WGN.

Returning for his 14th year as executive producer and director of UNCF An Evening of Stars® is six-time Emmy® Award winner Louis J. Horvitz. One of the industry’s most accomplished and sought-after live television producer-directors, Horvitz directed the annual Academy Awards® telecast for 13 years. He has also helmed the Prime Time Emmy Awards®, The Kennedy Center Honors® and the American Film Institute (AFI) Life Achievement Award tributes. In 2010, Horvitz directed the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards®, the Vancouver Winter Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the American Film Institute Tribute to Mike Nichols and was nominated for an Emmy for the most recent Kennedy Center Honors.
