DeNatalie Phillips

Columnist DeNatalie Phillips – As the principal creative consultant for DeNatalie Phillips Communications, Inc., DeNatalie develops and implements communications programs utilizing over 20 years of experience in technical and creative writing, voiceover production and media relations.  She has applied this expertise most recently for clients such as Fulton County Government Television for whom she has written, produced and voiced a series of PSAs promoting county services. Other clients include the Fulton County Arts Council, The Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, the City of Charleston and The Trumpet Awards, for whom she has coordinated appearances for performing artists such as Sidney Poitier, Jill Scott, Sonia Sanchez and others.  Prior to the launch of her public relations consultancy, DeNatalie supervised a department in the Washington, DC office of Burson-Marsteller, one of the world’s largest public relations firms. She also worked with Viacom’s Showtime/The Movie Channel marketing to hundreds of cable systems across the southeast region and the Caribbean.

DeNatalie’s community service contributions include serving on the Idea Capital Steering Committee www.ideacapitalatlanta.org and working with children at West End Performance Learning Center. A native of Nashville, TN, DeNatalie graduated from Howard University with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.  With a passion for performance poetry, her signature piece, “The Emancipation of a Black Executive” is featured on her CD, From the Desk of DeNatalie. Her mission is to create and serve, making cultural connections that support broad thinking in a small world.
