Deborah R. Champagne
Deborah Regina Champagne is the President/CEO of DelCor3 Entertainment a management company representing artist, actors and musicians. The South Carolina native, born and raised in Sumter, SC
A graduated of the prestigious historical black institution, Claflin University, she believes Claflin helped her have a successful career at BellSouth Telecommunications for over 16 years, work for the Atlanta Journal & Constitution Newspaper and be part-owner of Melodic Hearts, Inc. a gospel marketing and promotions company before pursuing a career in real estate. While at BellSouth, she worked in the Marketing Communications and Advertising Group that featured celebrities who represented the BellSouth television commercials. Her company “Melodic Hearts, Inc.”, created an artist showcase called “Praizz Improv” and helped to launch the careers of many young gospel spoken word and hip-hop artist like Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam artist “Georgia Me” and gospel comedian “Small Frie”. Her undergraduate experiences proved that a great start can make the difference in cultivating the talents of a young person because she continued her education and became a licensed Real Estate Agent and Certified Real Estate Appraiser making positive impacts for homeowners and investors with her witty but extremely industry-savvy negotiating style.
Born into a family of singers and musicians and the eighth of nine children, at a young age, Deborah realized she had a gift to entertain others; singing, writing and acting out scenes with imaginary characters. Now, Deborah is back to one doing what she feels she was born to do; any and everything in the entertainment industry. By holding on to the dream of making a positive impact in the world of entertainment, whether it is helping young promising entertainers make the best choices in their careers; she exercised her own acting chops with a feature on the Food Network alongside celebrity chef Tyler Florence on the first season of “Dear Food Network” (which still runs seasonally).
She auditioned and was selected to be a member of Atlanta’s renowned “Jomandi Theater Group, and to work as a writer-reporter-producer for the Fulton County Government Television (FGTV), the television station for the county she presently works as a Staff Appraiser in the tax assessor’s office. But the entertainment business with all its glitz and glam isn’t as rewarding as when she traveled abroad for the Department of Defense Overseas Tours, entertaining military families and children.
Now finally, she is working to grow DelCor3 Entertainment, writing a few books, a treatment for a film and a reality show. In addition, she is using her “gift of gab” as a freelance writer/blogger/columnist for FeSAAD Magazine (www.fesaadmag.com) covering stories about celebrities, health & fitness, business, arts, music and more. Her column, affectionately called, “Get the Bubbly” with Deborah Champagne.
Currently she lives in Fairburn, GA (a Metro Atlanta suburb) and is the mother of two sons, Delvin (a Harvard Fellowes/Capitol Hill Intern) and Corey (a promising young actor/model/singer/songwriter). She is a fun-loving Aquarius, witty, loves to read, write and travel.
