Huffington Can’t Kick Claims That She Stole HuffPo Idea
A New York state judge on Thursday mostly refused to dismiss two Democratic consultants’ allegations that Arianna Huffington stole their idea for what became the Huffington Post, saying the defendants had adequately supported many of their claims.
Judge Charles E. Ramos rejected a motion by Huffington and HuffPost co-founder Kenneth Lerer to dismiss an amended complaint filed in May by Peter Daou, a media consultant for the presidential campaigns of John Kerry and Hillary Clinton, and James Boyce, a former Kerry adviser, who allege the defendants reneged on a previous agreement.
