“Sherman Hemsley pronounced dead by Sheriff’s Department, at his El Paso, Texas home. Todd Frank, the actor’s agent released a statement to Reuters.
The Jefferson’s, a spin off from ”All in the Family” starred Isabel Sanford and Sherman Hemsley in a few episodes leading up to the spin off. At 74, Hemsely was still very much active having toured on broadway and also starring in several theatrical productions.
